Autumn’s answer to the Museum’s popular Summertime Social, the annual Harvest Moon Festival is a great place to catch a rising star, or two. Featured band The Genuine was formed in 2012 by was husband and wife Matthew Allivato and Katelyn Allivato, later joined by Devin Forkel on drums and Gunnar Nagle on guitar and vocals. In 2013 the band issued the album “Blooms” and Matthew won the Forsyth County Entertainment Award for country/folk artist of the year. Their warm-toned, heart-on-sleeves sound is equal parts Americana, progressive folk, and pop.
As the band fiddles and harmonizes, you can play games on the lawn, make your own vegetable prints, and savor the delicious produce of the season from local farms, breweries, cider works, and food trucks.
This event will take place rain or shine.
