Celebrate the start of summer in the Museum’s backyard at this annual event with barbecue samples, beer tastings, games on the lawn, and art activities. The Summertime Social will feature a live performance by singer-songwriter Sarah Siskind, whose songs have been covered by Allison Krauss and Bon Iver.

The Summertime Social is part of the Museum’s ongoing Reynolda After Hours series, designed for working adults and young families. The event is rain or shine; in case of rain, the performance and tastings will be moved inside the Museum. Guests are welcome to bring blankets for outdoor seating. No dogs, please.
Singer-songwriter Sarah Siskind is a regular performer on National Public Radio, with features on NPR’s “Tiny Desk Concerts,” “All Songs Considered” and most recently NPR’s Mountain Stage. She has toured with Bonnie Raitt, Paul Brady, Grammy winner Bon Iver (who also famously covered her “Lovin’s For Fools”) and The Swell Season and had songs recorded by Alison Krauss (the GRAMMY nominated “Simple Love”), Randy Travis, Madi Diaz and many more. In 2012, “Time Magazine” called her “one of our favorite 5 voices” at SXSW in Austin, TX.
