The Creative Writing Workshop Week of Camp Kits with the on-site component are recommended for teens who have completed 6th-9th grade.
Each week of camp kit includes:
- Prompts and images for creative writing compositions
- Outdoor, on-site introduction with the writing teacher from 1-3 p.m. the first day of camp (July 21) and invitation to attend a virtual closing celebration the Friday of the week of camp (July 24). Following the guidelines for day camps, staff will meet you and your child at the designated drop-off location for the Tuesday camp meeting and then a staff member will walk your child to the camp meeting (where they will be asked to sit at a distance). All staff and children over the age of 11 will be asked to wear a mask.
- Materials and instructions to create a book in which to hold the students’ writings
- Remote editing assistance and suggestions from the writing teacher Tuesday-Thursday (via Google Docs in which creative writers will type their compositions)
- Passes for family to visit the Museum (be sure to schedule a time to visit at www.reynoldahouse.org)
